Made knit team, "Different Pulses" is an album at once tense and emotional. The pieces, at least in the first part of the album, are biased to a feeling of emergency, survival. The voice of Asaf Avidan is also incredibly flayed as tired of fighting, giving everything in a last effort. This gives the beginning of the disc (the first five pieces) that an intensity not often hear. The album then becomes more intimate, which does not take away that sense of seriousness noticeable every moment of listening. More concise, less borrowing references, the album is impeccably produced, with ornamental keys (strings, trumpet) brings us back to the east, without falling into any caricature. To miss this record would be out of luck, the best way to reverse the hang of things is to put this record in its platinum.
