This album is the bomb: Punk music that has it all! The Gallows, a four-piece band from Watford in England give up their debut album with the use of blood, sweat and tears everything. Singer Frank Carter cries all pent-up aggression out of them that you almost think it would have to bleed the throat. These rattles the drums and Frank's younger brother Steph Carter on guitar lies down fully to the wheel and builds together with bassist a brutal wall of sound after another. In this way, the music feels often like a mixture of earthquake and hurricane flattened and accordingly it is in accordance with the punk style with about three minutes crisp short songs then. Hardcore punk at its best just! That Frank Carter, of course not only slighted his vocal chords until it almost sounds hoarse, but is that in these songs that cursed as much as spit, heart blood flows with, it shows the audience immediately. What have asked the Gallows here to bounce a whole collection of songs with a hard stick snotty punk attitude in Underdog manner and which can be admired above all in the overall view only. Who wants to hear good punk rock is the right place for this band was founded in 2005. Accordingly was highly praised "Orchestra of Wolves" and the four boys can cope since 2007 for her debut feature the "Kerrang!" - Award for Best British Newcomer call their own. In fact, even Brett Gurewitz, famous former band member of the American punk Bad Religion, so excited that he for the US market on Epitaph Records, his own label Punk, published "Orchestra of Wolves". So there is a lot for this album. Playing tips on this CD are "In The Belly Of A Shark", "Come Friendly Bombs" and the opener "Kill The Rhythm". Furthermore there with "Nervous Breakdown" a (on this album but unfortunately not included) excellent Gallows cover of the eponymous song, which was originally written by Black Flag.
