On "Poison'd!" present Bret Michaels (vocals), CC Deville (guitars), Bobby Dall (bass) and Rikki Rockett (drums) now 13 more or less well-known hits from the 70s. Not too close to the original, technically equipped to date and having that certain "Poison-Feeling", convinces the album about 43:28 minutes. The Songs 1-8 were recorded in 2007 and excellently produced by Don Was:
1. "Little Willy" (1973 / Sweet) 2. "Suffragette City" (1972 / David Bowie) 3. "I Never Cry" (1976 / Alice Cooper) 4. "I Need To Know" (1978 / Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers) 5. "Can not You See" (1973 / The Marshall Tucker Band) 6. "What I Like About You" (1980 / The Romantics) 7. "Dead Flowers" (1971 / The Rolling Stones). 8 "Just What I Needed" (1978 / The Cars)
The songs 9-13 have been already published on previous CD's:
9. "Rock 'N Roll All Night" (1975 / Kiss) (1987 "Less Than Zero" soundtrack) 10. "Squeeze Box" (1975 / The Who) (2002 Poison album "Holly Weird") 11. "You Don 't Mess Around With Jim "(1972 / Jim Croce) (2006 re-release bonus track" Look What The Cat Dragged In ") 12. Your Momma Do not Dance (1972 / Loggins & Messina) (1988 Poison album" Open ! Up And Say ... Ahh ") 13." We're An American Band "(1973 / Grand Funk Railroad) (2006" The Best Of Poison: 20 Years Of Rock ")
Whatever may be the decisive motives for such a cover album ever, I think, also the fun factor plays an important role. The band plays with a lot of pleasure and expertly versed some of their greatest favorites. This created a really interesting musical cross-section of time in which you can indulge here wonderfully ... or for younger generations, this compilation a successful entry into a wonderful era in which there is to discover so much more!
