Tick Tock (CD)

Customer Review

The first hearing is a little surprising, the first songs "Desert Flight" being more reminiscent of Muse ... Nothing to do with actually planing atmosphere Night. Both in terms of the stamp on the lines of his song, Jan Henrik Home monkey Matt Bellamy with ease.

But from the second title. "The part I Walk" takes the recipes that have made "Night" a success. The song is softer, more intimate in the way of Steve Hogarth, the tempo slows and the group takes us from this title in an exhilarating journey that will last a little less than an hour. This song is my favorite of the album and in concert (they switched once in Paris in 2009), it is absolutely magical.

Gazpacho mixing rock and ambient, merging Eastern and Western inspirations, skillfully marrying different instruments, guitar, keyboards, percussion in an harmony constant concern.

This group knows each make palpable atmosphere, the music obviously by singing but also by law. "The Walk Part I" and makes us feel the sand under your feet and sun burn suffered by St Ex in the desert, "Tick Tock Part I" takes us into introspection and doubt, doubts which rise intermittently in "Tick Tock Part II" with choruses liberators but persist until Part III in which the accumulated tension will explode in a liberating sound whirlwind. And it is a "Winter is Never" which will complete this journey in a paradoxically sad and poetic atmosphere.

"Tick Tock" is an experience I would advise all lovers of strong musical sensations, to all those who love their imagination wander at the option notes, atmospheres and accompanying words. Listen and listen again this album, you will not be disappointed
