Since my computer is in the living room, I like it quiet. In idle it is silent with 0.3 Sone, only under load is excessively noisy. I had previously had a 7950 boost from Sapphire and has consulted in the truest sense of the word, as if my wife 50 cm next to my hair föhnt be :-P As bad as the XFX R9 280X is far. Although it is audible but not further disturbing loud. I have but, as previously my 7950 Boost, equipped with a Arctic Accelero Xtreme 4 and the standard fan sent in retirement. The Accelero it is now no longer be heard even under full load! Who's therefore really like Silent, my tip: Arctic Accelero Xtreme 4 for R9 280 X. Otherwise I can only recommend the map. Fed power.
