Quite appropriate hardware to an important backup storage at competitive prices.

At first I hesitated to buy this External Hard Drives INTENSO because it was necessary to perform 8 of shipping for this product presented at the competitive price of 74 (more usually pay shipping cost from Amazon). I tried to find cheaper elsewhere, but I have not found a DD 2 TB to 82. So the price remained very competitive cost and in complete I validated my order from Amazon.
Concerning the delivery of Bora Computer = Perfect. Delivered in my letter box from Germany, two days ahead of schedule and in perfect packaging, I received a product delivered to my home in optimal conditions.
Unpacking, when the DD grabs his rather heavy weight gave me the impression of strength. The housing, black and sober color, appear to have the appropriate level of protection for this type of material. So a good first impression prior to any use.
This product meets quite what I want, because that DD will not move. It will serve as a backup to my new PC with 2TB HDD. The HDD INTENSO joins a shelf where my other are grouped DD backups.
The installation on the PC is instantly passed without any connection problem (USB3 port) or recognition. Upon commissioning, which surprised me the most is his silence. Besides its other congeners, there is no comparison. When my other DD are on, I hear "turn". For one, not an audible breath (to my ears), it's great!
The On / Off switch (Y / N) is very convenient facade. The only problem is that the housing does not have operating control LED, which means that I sometimes forget to cut when stopping of my installation (especially since I did the not hear).
SD formatted in FAT 32 was not exploitable in the state (current). Having refused initially manual formatting to NTFS I launched an NTFS quick format was proposed by Windows after the first reboot of the PC. So everything was operational to start backups.
Note that the 2000 GB purchased 1863 GB are available (93%) I am not competent enough to know whether this report is correct in relation to what we find on the market for this level of purchase price.
I have already transferred to the HDD 491 GB 5 backups important data directories of documents, photographs and video to an average transfer rate of 22 MB / sec.
I did a test on an SD port USB3 new PC with CrystalDiscMArk. I get the following results:
- Read: 34.89 MB / s block size of 1024 KB; 25.98 MB / s 512 KB; 0.71 MB / s for 4 KB
- In writing: 30.72 MB / s 1024 KB; 30.61 512 KB; 0.90 MB / s for 4 KB.
In summary, I am very satisfied with this acquisition, which presents the expected outcome for the intended use and excellent quality / price ratio (1 star less for the lack of LED).
