Apparently it is now at Nintendo Usus become to provide as little information about games, so that the interested players still have to buy an additional "game guide".
I know, for example, like whether the various weight classes of drivers have been completely abolished, or simply now just all vehicles are available to everyone.
I would like to know what the different driving modes cause (normal, hover, fly, underwater, ...) without the whole first having to be determined empirically.
Through the entire Ignore physical laws many of the routes are very confusing.
The abolition of the automatic drift mode increases the difficulty enormously and ensures that casual gamers without its own console (friends who have no wii, and only occasionally to play when they visit me) will have to MK8 not fun, what my game makes quite maggoty.
Also, I find it extremely unfortunate that the number of players for the local multiplayer mode has not been raised to 5. I do not totally understand why you can not use all 5 controller, at Sega All Stars Racing Transformed it works wonderfully.
All in all, I am afraid that MK8 as Sega All Stars Racing Transformed will not find favor with my guests due to the difficulty and complexity of accurately and therefore dust in the drawer. However, I have only a 10 on eBay paid what it gives the whole a different quality of the latter.
It is nice that now at least all the players can see well in the 4th mode, the values of the different vehicles and do not just decide to look blind.
The review is based on the one-off matches in the first 3 Grand Prix 'I will reload here as soon as I get feedback from friends.
[Update]:
so, after some laps in single and multiplayer mode my basic assessment remains the same.
My suspicions have largely confirmed: especially guests who are little games, not coped with the manual drift.
The battle mode has become even more boring than its predecessors (there is no reasonable arenas and more on the round course one meets scarcely his adversaries).
The online multiplayer is a total first crutch. I had the great fault 118-0516 in which Google already several forums threads spits. That is, if you want to play MK8 online, you have to first go into the depths of its router configuration and set any exceptions for the Wii U, so you even get the opportunity to test the online multiplayer. This is then made very nice, especially the distance voting is a good feature, but why can at 2 local players only give a voice for both players is beyond me.
What at first may sound banal, actually fäält always annoying to: a Grand Prix, the first option for a driven race is not "Watch Highlights" "next race" but. Am I too fast with the A Button I have to wait for the highlights video is started and then you can only jump to the next race now. Honestly, there are so many players who want all the highlights after each race again, that this option should be the first place? Can I with a "Fun-Racer" somehow not imagine really.
Finally, but also a big plus: the free play of vehicles and drivers work unlike last predecessor with multiplayer games.
But all in all, it stays with 3 stars.
