I liked "Number 4" ... I'm not bothered me, I found writing and sequencing of fairly fluid actions. There was no red tape that hindered me in my reading. I read in a short time, which is a good sign ... I have joined the story of this young alien (John Smith) sent to Earth with other children and their guardians in the attack of their planet (Lorien) by MOGADORIENS. The lorics have exceptional gifts but different to different people: to be invisible, great strength, telekinesis etc ... Feeling their immediate end, LORICS have decided to protect and hide on Earth some children for revenge and to revive their civilization. But MOGADORIENS are in pursuit. The originality lies in the fact that every child (12 in all) is numbered and that MOGADORIENS can kill them in order of their numbers except the day, once developed their gifts, they will meet to fight the Mogadoriens. Then this "fate" will be broken and they will be killed regardless of their number. 1, 2 and 3 are dead, so the number of turn 4 ... So I liked it there very touching passages and there are also original ideas in this novel. This is not the book of the year for sure ... There are some passages a little "sweet" because he falls in love for the first time so we are treated to some shots ... But overall, it is quite successful and I will read with pleasure on! I have not seen the movie but I had bad reviews so I suggest you read the book before because it has the least disappointing air ...
