... Of his most successful album "Oxygene" then this, 21 years later produced album "Oxygene 7-13", is I am, since the last successful album "Zoolook" of 1984 by the following publications of JMJ (apart from the overlong. magnificent and surprising Ambient - been track "Waiting For Cousteau" rather disappointed from the eponymous album from 1990), so was able to "Oxygene 7-13" finally convince again across the board and my initial skepticism this album compared to proved luckily as completely unjustified. There is finally the Jarre, I have up to this point so missed. Overall, the seven parts present on this album a bit more modern and contemporary, but without compromising on the so typical sounds of an Eminent, ARP 2600, etc. Mellotron. Arrangements and Instrumentarium create further a quite successful with respect to the original - album of 1976 and repeatedly reach back on the musical elements and melodies, which I personally really like it very much. "Oxygene 7-13" though does not quite measure up to the class of '76 original, but damn close, I think. Very nice and wonderful music of the French sound magician, which in no Jarre - should not be missing collection.
