My copy had "random disconnects" (also had at least min., Another member whom I found on the net so had obviously not an isolated case). Say the Heise Stick test is never gone through completely (canceled). A Windows File Transfer via Win Explorer of about 58 Gbytes is canceled at 17 Gbytes since Windows 7 stating the unit no longer being able to achieve. Solution was just always on and unplugging.
Writing speed according Win7 was around 59 Mbyte / s (70 maximum according to the manufacturer, would be OK)
Am now satisfied with a Kingston HyperX. The power in exactly the same USB 3.0 port no problems.
A star there yet for the good speed but the stick was useless for me (and I think the problem for everyone else). Go back to Amazon (refund because I do not want second test)
