I bought the cable to my external hard drive (WD Elements Portable External Hard Drive 2TB (6.4 cm (2.5 inches), USB 3.0) Black) to have a more stable cable as the hard disk supplied separately.

Unfortunately, it was in use regularly (min. 5 times consecutively) disconnects while copying files. This problem is clearly due to the cable because I had no such interference on the same USB 3.0 port with all the other cables and the same hard drive. Now I use again the original cable from Western Digital and is one of Delock where everything runs smoothly.
