Earl Sweatshirt is this 19 year old boy who hangs out with the currently most creative people of the West Coast rap and here is not only a follower but torchbearers. His music on Doris is a middle finger to commercial Pop Rap and does at least as well as a jump in the lake after 5 hours sultry heat of the sun. The Beats mostly self-produced or at least influenced, all this 5 clock in the morning in LA Alk style we already know from the great Mac Miller music and also listen to Tyler Wolf or Vince Staples Stolen Youth can rest. But Doris surprise then something richer and more fluid than the other rolls Odd Future Voes in 2013. The Neptunes and RZA deliver thick productions with impressive consistency with the rest of the album. What has always driven as Earl in Samoa 2010-2012, the result is a highly light-years mature artist with impressive performance, virtually impossible with 19 thumbs. Whoever the Awards for Best Rap 2013 has awarded albums: Here is a real candidate with a good chance!
