To Joe Cocker's Woodstock version of this Beatles classic I can personally say:
Outstanding. Great. It blows me away repeatedly on's new order! Joe Cocker's voice is so soft! And the mood is so, so exciting. Wild, untamed. And quietly. And genuine. Full of interior. And with the best cry of music history. (Even before Ian Gillan in 'Child in Time' or Lionel Ritchie's "Ugh" in 'Easy')
And anyway.
Incidentally compare in no case later with live recordings.
