Real energy guzzlers

The unit is powered by four AAA batteries. Inside are two switches (on / off, four-stage duty cycle) to find and two knobs that allow light intensity and switch-on limit can be adjusted continuously depending on the ambient light.

In addition to the six cool white LEDs, the part has a red LED that lights up when the batteries are nearly exhausted. Too bad that this is the case after a few weeks. In this regard, it is surpassed by the brand which has been mentioned several times by other reviewers by far.

Another disadvantage of this article is that the LEDs are not orientable. Despite relatively low light output they act namely so glaring that the part actually is useful only as a small overhead light. For this purpose, however, the replacement of the batteries is too fiddly - the haptic feedback on engagement of two (plastic) tabs in the bracket is relatively unclear.

Conclusion: Because of the low efficiency of the built-in LEDs to generate an unnecessary amount of waste with this product.
