Connecting the receiver to the TV was very easy (HDMI cable (by the way there) pure, ready ^^)
The receiver then passes through a first installation (could be described in some detail in the guide) where you have to make its settings. The firmware update then I've still done via the satellite and took less than 20 minutes. Then I still have my station list sorted, what is also very simple in my opinion and my external hard drive connected (I had previously formatted in FAT). The plate was immediately recognized and had to schedule the storage space also sleep instantly. Here I was slightly surprised that that has gone so smoothly, as I have often read, as users have a problem with your external hard drive. I use this here FreeAgent GoFlex Pro - Hard drive - 500 GB and am very satisfied. Thus, the unit was fully operational.
The picture of HD programming (ARD / ZDF) is very good and ran with me so far without any problems. Could not juddering or artifacts of any kind notice. Time-Shift works great and is very convenient.
The start time of the unit is approximately 30 seconds (1 minute Chill ^^) but this does not bother me here, because if I am dependent on the 30 second startup time I need the TV does not even turn on. Switching the transmitter by the Up and Down buttons on the remote control works quite quickly, whereas the switching via numeric keypad takes up a few seconds (3-4).
If I am convinced of this device so why not I give it 5 stars ???
-> Because I am very disappointed by this theme. If I the device so at a shop
would have seen, it could probably never convince me. So would a well
256k modem can look ^^
But here the taste of the individual comes back into play.
Conclusion:
I recommend the UFS 912 from Kathrein anyone who wants to get the most out of his money.
When I again have to buy a receiver in this price range to me today, my choice would fall back to the UFS 912 from Kathrein.
