Realignment with a great system camera

I was part of the faction "Only Spiegelrelfex" on. Until earlier this year. Since photographing predominantly pending the go, I have ventured to the highly acclaimed PL 5 and by the excellent image results and of several weeks waiting time definitively from my Nikon D90 (yes .. really!) Was adopted. I regretted it so far had no day. However, I had to dig a little deeper into their pockets to finance the 4 viewfinder VF. Now arrived the what I already should have been able to count: A potent successor at the Photokina 2014. With the e-PL 7 has now been repaired everything that might have been open to criticism nor in the predecessor. Crucial to the new exchange was mainly the display and the second dial for me. Irritated I was also the improved image stabilization. Well, I think a good piece in hands and am excited about the first results simply.

Display: Now finally in a meaningful 3: 2 format. Since I work with it, the image will be reproduced on the display fomatfüllend - with twice the resolution as its predecessor. (As one can with a camera system, which in principle on 4: 3 is based a 16: 9 monitor installing ??). The display is rich in contrast and crisp. The viewfinder is now reused only for exceptional situations and in bright sunlight.

Dial: Associated with the countless possibilities to choose the key assignment, leads me an ease of use that comes very close to a large DSLR (yes ... really so!). Alone with a push of a button I can select the HDR mode or switching to RAW recording. Class!

Image Stabilizer: Initial tests say good. Do I still closer judge.

Other things like Selfie function or WiFi are nice, I'm interested in at the moment but only marginally.

Very good is the image quality. I believe that one should not be misled by occasional tests for diminishing detail at high ISO values. Who in heaven's name has since photographed earlier without image stabilization with 1600 iso. Until then, this is all still very much in order. The pictures are rich in detail, so crisp, and be with my use of Sigma-fixed focal length series (type series recommended) again topped.

The rock-solid processing must also be mentioned finally. The camera is hard (not in a negative sense) in the hand and you can almost feel the perceived quality. Have myself opted for the white one because I always find silver gray on a bit repetitive. Nevertheless, the case does not affect verkitscht and combines well with lenses in black or silver combined.

My original opinion was:
- The sensor is MFT nothing for me, the bigger the better
- With Olympus, I'm not going to make friends
- Without real SLR I do not photograph
Landed I am the exact opposite! So much for their own principles.
It may be that the technological development has risen significantly in recent years. And even if the E-PL 7 purely visual one "small" solution is - it is nevertheless at the end of a really adult.
I do not regret switching from SLR camera system on and can recommend it without reservation model.
