The trilogy is inspired by video games ... and it shows, especially on the end of that tom. Some seem to be taken straight out of a mavaise of tabletop roleplaying games, you sometimes end up with "quests" recalling that found in video games. The final battle is below all, the resolution of the plot because it also suffers from many shortcuts screenplay (net out of nowhere etc ...). The credibility of James suffers greatly, sometimes even of Arutha.
A huge disappointment for this trilogy yet centered around a colorful character, having said that ... his reading allows the introduction to a deity that will be more important in the future. Feist has accustomed us to much better than that ... shame.
