The electric steering Markevitch is the whole point of this new edition: the proposed program highlights leadership qualities, precise, incisive and somewhat bitter, this great leader. Too bad the sound is, from a technical standpoint, damn old to me: is not DECCA wants. The weight of years taints the technique of this record 'Deutsche Grammophon', which probably could have better transfer. Note the very funny reference by Amazon in the CD description: "Conductor: Glinka, Liadov, Igor Markevitch"; we have recordings of Glinka and Liadov to the stick completely enchants me !!! When will the discs recorded by JS Bach himself? But what treasures we still hide the labels?
