Ludwig writes polyphonic accompaniments in terms of votes, the one note to the melody based. This is often amazingly good. In the rhythm section (drums, piano, guitar) but you can also see solid accompaniment patterns that are not dependent on the melody.
For home or simple music education, there is a "ensemble" feature in the program for a given occupation composed polyphonic. The results are useful for beginners on an instrument, I would, however, have liked a stronger gradation of difficulty.
For professional requirements, the sounds and the flexibility of the accompaniments are not sufficient. However, I believe that very useful raw material for own arrangements you get in export and further processing of the scores generated by Ludwig. Especially with larger brass section as a big band, the program provides technically acceptable results.
We use the program to accompany exercise votes for a chorus that sound the choir singers at home as MP3 and sing along. What also works well is improvising on themselves entered chord progressions, where Ludwig makes only the companion volume.
Stylistically, the software in the Pop / Jazz / Classic / Country / Pop / Latin at home. Friends of a hard techno beats are not appreciate Ludwig.

Because Louis is quite innovative, and there is no other software out there to my knowledge, with which you can accompany songs so quickly and in this quality, the program deserves five stars.
Worth mentioning: My Realtek sound card could initially not record MP3 under Win7 / 64bit. I then get running quickly through the support.
