As with many others here a Samsung HDD is built with only 5200rpm with me. H2testw.exe showed no errors, the write speed was up to 24 MB / s, the reading speed at max. 26 MB / s (the on-board USB controller of ASUS A8R32 MVP Deluxe motherboard).
The Power LEDs are, otherwise often than specified here, not on the back but top of the case, however there back, it is still clearly visible. It is also not overly bright.
