I have just played through the three major campaigns and most of the time was just appalled. Also, I am a veteran and have Resident Evil played since the first part. I prefer the classic games from 0 to CV, but I also have my fun with Part 4 and 5. However, the sixth part is an entirely different matter!

In developing the game, the game designers seem to have proceeded according to the following schedule: You have made two lists. A list of all the things that have worked well and are fun. And a second list with everything was not so great. The first list have discarded it and produces from the second list Resident Evil 6. Whatever games element compared with a predecessor, RE6 makes it worse.

The camera is poor and has no overview. In addition, at any time of the angle change because the game absolutely would like to highlight a very important door or anything else important happened. Yielding short term becomes disoriented and in the most hectic situations loses valuable time. In addition, the control characters terrible! Just to imagine a certain object, may already be stressful. Gladly it comes at abysses also happens that you just fall down and need to pull up on the edge again only. I was really amazed at how many times you lay down his life in this game! The horror in RE6 arises because the game one does not give the opportunity to defend themselves properly. The player does not fail on its own merits, but the game design!

In every good game the opponents and threats throughout the game become more difficult and demanding and you have to improve your character to keep up with the enemies step, so that although they remain a challenge, but they are beatable. RE6 is so poorly designed that it is necessary to improve its character already, in order to play at all reasonable.

The healing system is a disaster. In any predecessor there were green and red herbs. If necessary, mix and then take. Finished! Not here! If necessary, mix, produce tablets, tablets lead to rapid inventory and then take a nice tablet after another. Really great when you're surrounded by enemies and 5 times has to take a tablet, to regain full health. What is this nonsense? (Yes, Quick Mixes there too!)

The enemy design is a matter of taste. Me, it does not respond. There are a large number of enemy types, but special tactics you need in any, accordingly they are uninteresting. Pop them off easily. Even that was better before. The "zombies" in RE6 I can not be regarded as zombies too. Zombies do not jump, do not run and they do not melt when they are killed.

The bosses are downright annoying. Just do not die! Always and always come back. And the characters do not learn from it. Since no one checks to see if the enemy is really dead. Often they fall into death, in 10 minutes but later to be back. The much-heralded crossover events between the different campaigns seemed to me more like Level recycling. "Wow, I can just do the same struggle of just again. Yawn!" Overall, the story is rather poor. In the three major campaigns the motives of the villains are not at all clear. "We are angry because we are angry!" appeared to be the motive here. More backgrounds are told through files that you free plays by "Serpent Emblems". It used to be such documents found in the game and read there what has also contributed to the atmosphere and the story told with.

The music in the game can be described with two words: inconspicuous to annoying. Since the game is of the opinion that everything is practically very dramatically what happens the whole time running a very dramatic herumdudelnde music without ceasing. Gone are the days where there was really very atmospheric background music.

Weapons are plentiful in RE6. This time, you can also all weapons that are found at the same time carry around what the already beleaguered realism in the game is additionally detrimental. However, you often feel you shoot with blanks at the opponent. This will only really be better if you improve his skills. The weapons themselves can not upgrade it. I'd upgradeable skills in RE6 definitely give upgradeable weapons of Part 4 and 5 preference. The treasures from part 4, which have already been simplified in Part 5, are now unfortunately completely disappeared. They were replaced by skill points in the form of chess pieces. What the meaning behind it should be, is beyond me. But you make significantly less fun than the treasures of the past.
The melee system was expanded in comparison to its predecessors and one must also use. Ammunition is often in short supply. Toll I could not find it and it's a bit exaggerated. Why do people inject with a virus in order to become stronger fight if they then still can be killed by a slender young woman with a single punch or kick? That does not fit together yet!

The new characters Helena, Nivans, Sherry and Jake I found very positive and even Sherry and Jake very personable. (Sherry is not really new, I know!) The nervous veterans Leon and Chris, however. Your personality has completely changed compared to its predecessors. Leon has Raccoon City survived and done practically a cult in "Spain" single-handedly. Here he suddenly behaves again like a greenhorn. And Chris is just unbearable. I have Chris and Leon now so often played, that I can do without them. RE6 would in my opinion very well only works with Sherry and Jake. After Wesker's death in RE5 could have been done a complete section and the beginning of a whole new story. The potential for a good story would have been there, you have it but unfortunately not used. More than "We're on the run from the evil!" did not come around here.

The level design is completely boring to ridiculous. Time you walk through an Eastern European village, sometimes by a small American town and often by 08/15 roads, roofs and buildings in China. Nothing leaves a special impression. It also does not matter. There is no reason to explore the surrounding area thoroughly. Area serves only as a backdrop to the fact gun down countless enemies. In addition, I have always wondered why no one actually works in this whole labs where you walk around? Where are all the scientists, technicians and workers? We can only see evil soldiers or guards and monsters that you must fight. After all, there are in China and civilians in Tall Oaks Scattered survivors.

Much more could be criticized in RE6. The upshot, however, is simply that the game has come completely baked on the market. There were incredibly made many wrong decisions and the design were also poorly implemented. From a Resident Evil atmosphere not to mention! While Part 4 was quite different from the predecessors and thus was also the atmosphere different, but the game was thanks to Shinji Mikami perfectly staged. Part 5 had absolutely no horror, only in the old Umbrella facility flickered that old feeling again on. Part 6 do not at all remember what Resident Evil is. Leon's campaign converts from Dawn of the Dead on National Treasures towards the seemingly endless final battle. Chris campaign is a pure (mediocre) third-person shooter that abound. Just Jake's campaign has a certain unique charm, which is of course very inspired by RE3, but also greatly relies on exaggerated action.

If Capcom next part is not completely going in another direction, which was the last part for me. After a Rethinking Capcom does not see it but now we have made since part 6 seems to be very successful again. So adieu, Resi! Was nice with you!
