I feel here and horror atmosphere is hectic and confused with frustration. With me comes to no horror when too many enemies simultaneously come from all directions, I hardly have more ammunition and injured lying on the ground, as what else. Then even the right weapon found in a hurry in the menu, or fast times mix new herbs and provide on-demand. I then come more to the point where I turn off the game rather quickly before the controller still flies on the wall - how scary!
The creepiness arises as a rule, by a gripping story. Also on which one has apparently omitted in favor of hollow banging.
And who actually came up with the (sorry) often stupid idea to play to continue while you are in the Settings menu? Sure you can do it all in the main menu, but that may not indeed be the intention.
The chapters take so far consistently all very long. While there are usually quite well distributed checkpoints, one breaks in between but from, you have the complete Kapiel by playing again. If one needs to 2 hours per Kapiel, which is also not acceptable.
*** Small note afterwards: you can still re-enter from the last checkpoint. Apparently it's to only necessary to go to the checkpoint completely out of the game, or turn off the Playstation. When you first left the mission and return to the main menu, you have the chapter again to start over. ***
It may be that the game even more dramatic increases of fun when playing in multiplayer mode and / or can use a bit stronger, aufgelevelte weapons.
So far, however, as far as possible the peace and atmosphere I do not have in the game. Almost I fear that this genre is dead now. Even in "Dead Space 3", you can now according to developers obviously the way to make the game for the action shooter. Supposedly it would be welcomed by the fans so that I can imagine, however, not quite at the many protests to RE6 me. Was not "Dead Space" therefore as a Überraschunghit because it precisely served so poorly represented the horror genre and attended in the right measure of peace, darkness, isolation and an optimal noise?
I think it's just a shame that "Resident Evil", in addition to "Silent Hill" as the brand par excellence that stands for the horror game genre, taken this path. Many little problems or criticisms are resolved surely still in the future via patches. One must not forget, of course, that the game has just come times today on the market.
I want to advise on no account from the purchase. Obtained with RE6 a game with which you can spend many, many hours. There is an upgrade system that now works differently than they did in RE5 and the famous mercenary or mercenary mode is attending again.
However, one must be aware that you do not get "Resident Evil" in the old style. So far, I am sorry to say, has convinced me more and RE5 with the caves, mines and underground ruins I also found it atmospheric.
As initially said, maybe I'm now 35 years old for hectic shooter. I would like, once again to have a dark, atmospheric horror adventure with thrilling, intelligent story and balanced shooting bouts in the right places in my PS3. Probably because I've simply by RE6 expecting too much.
*** And another little addendum:
apparently it was the wrong decision to begin with the Chris-campaign. Here you can get from the full broadside of Action and bustle. The missions with Sherry and Jake are a bit quieter, while the chapter with Leon and Helena closest to old Resident Evil is linked parts. This is essentially atmospheric to business. The atmosphere is calm and the places are darker and more sinister. All in all, for me it is a mixture of RE3 RE5.
It falls just Campaign with Chris a little out of the ordinary and into perspective the negative first impression back a little. ***
