Although the TIKKINA is the "simplest" of current Petzl lamps, but at night when running on trails to have enough light it does it completely. I have kept the lamp as the only test for ordered lights and I still have a second-ordered the same for my friend.
One should not be deceived by the fact that it has only one LED. The thing is in fact been held with a modern CREE LED, which is brighter than any cheap 10 EUR flashlights. Unlike the cheap lamps also no violet color cast (the light of TIKKINA is white as a fluorescent lamp or xenon headlamps in the car). In brightness is my old Mini Maglite (2x AA battery) compared with the TIKKINA a really lame Funzel. With the thick band that sits above TIKKINA aschend comfortably on the head and in contrast to the Petzl Zipka it is adjustable in angle, which is a really decisive advantage for me.
I was therefore now at night in the woods (a forest, the environment without light everything pitch black), because we had to pay with only one TIKKINA run. We had the only halfway stage light, because their already full light in total darkness was even actually uncomfortably bright.
If that's still not enough, the next largest variations were the Petzl Tikka (30% lighter) or Petzl Tikka Plus (brighter, plus flashing functions, red light, etc.).
Conclusion: For 15 EUR currently can (go for a walk, night walk, ...) with normal needs not go wrong. The other Petzl lamps bring to me for some dual display only marginal benefits (which are only worthwhile if you have special needs, such as long range for open areas, glare-free red light, flashes, etc.).
