But now the game:
I have the US version of the game since the beginning of the year and have not regretted the import at any time. The game is just so extensive and through the various instruments so versatile that one will not soon boring. Every week at least three new songs addition come (in most cases even more, I would say five average) out for little money (much less than, say, Guitar Hero and additionally pass because sometimes months without comes out a new song) in Germany is a part of the songs cost 1.59, the other part of 0.79. A few songs are also quite in vain. I've gotten 200 songs in Rock Band is available and it is really great, so if you have at parties a huge selection of songs, there's something for everyone. Harmonix has assured that by the end of the year a total of more than 500 songs will be available, while I doubt that in GH: WT will be 100.
Since one Rock Band really only with Guitar Hero: World Tour can compare I'll do this here. My opinion on GH: WT is based largely on reports that I've read on the Internet, to events where GH: WT was playable.
First I want to about the time window in which you can take the notes, talk. Rock Band is as identical to Guitar Hero 2, so it's rather small. GH: WT is based on GH3 and GH: A and thus has a large time window. But what is better? My opinion is that a rhythm game should already require that you play in rhythm. However, not the case WT: This is by GH. Two different notes one after the other, it is even possible to touch that actually comes later to play in front of the other! And even with rock band you do not hit the notes accurately, but also too much would be good. In GH: WT this time window is definitely too big.
Now for the drums: The RB-drums has four pads, the GH: WT drums three pads and two cymbals. At first glance, one might think that the GH: WT drums are better because they are more realistic because of the pool. But now the rub: Because the only existing three pads Drum Fills / Rolls are actually four different Toms go hard to do. Furthermore, the pool for quick hi-hat rhythms are unsuitable because it really is the outside pool needed. The pools also have a small rebound as the pads.
They are joined in GH: WT further problems if one of the band playing bad flying the whole band out, with Rock Band, this (twice) to be saved and you can continue playing. For Drums there fills, give 1 point per hit, which will end in an annoying Drumgebashe long as one goes on scores. There is only one Starpower- / Overdrive bar for all. In other words, the guitarist, the SP / OD, the drummer has just collected used. In Rock Band, everyone has their own bar and if all inserting simultaneously, there is a bigger bonus (this is also in GH: WT of the case, however, due to which all share a bar realsieren worse, especially because the drummer beating on both basins gleichzetig needs to SP / OD Activate, which in severe songs so much großten parts of the song is impossible). Last is also the song selection menu awful (just all songs with one another without limitations or similar) very confusing and the interface while playing especially in multiplayer.
Long story short: With Rock Band can not do much wrong. The price is high (and GH: WT will not be cheaper), but you also get some well-functioning instruments, a game that one will not soon let go and offers an incredible selection of songs. There is no gameplay Schnitzer, rather it has been consistently further developed.
