This Brooks Pure Flow 2, however, really carry itself as a blend of comfort running shoe and free models. On the one hand they give enough support for long runs and provide quite good damping properties. On the other hand they are super light and and flexible.
You can see how the very slight drop of 4 mm (height difference of heel to midfoot sole) the running style changed slightly. My natural running style is more of midfoot running toward what succeeds even easier and safer with this shoe. I am quiet and run with less upward and downward movement; could possibly timid say, it's a bit more rounded movement. In my first run I had also the feeling of having a full-fledged running shoe on my legs. I could have continued to run without any problems, because I did not feel any pressure point, strain or muscle pain. But the calf is loaded more heavily because of the construction, but this does not negatively noticed. I think that hereby also easily long runs of over 15 KM are not a problem, after giving his ligaments and muscles a chance to get used to the slightly different exposure.
In addition, the shoe is very well located at the foot. As my foot bed is rather high as normal, I was happy about the insole that gives good support here. This makes the shoe very comfortable for me. The little side laces is criticized, I have noticed neither positive nor negative, but I think that it makes sense that to shift the pressure points.
The Nav-band (is the written so?) Is very easily extensible, in how far it really has an impact while running, I can not judge.
The midsole is slightly wider than other running shoes, I noticed it while running anything.
I like the shoe extremely good and I would not have thought that with this shoe from the "Brooks Pure" family a very comfortable running is possible.
Hopefully I'll still have a lot of nice runs with this beautiful shoe. I also think that with the Pure-models again really nice shoes can be bought at Brooks for the first time, whose other design do not like me that.
So who would venture to enter into more natural running and the running has no excessive pronation and can do without a little loss, takes place this shoe a super partner.
Addendum 07:08:13:
As before, I am very satisfied with the shoe and the shoe will buy sure again as soon as the current is worn.
Now that I've adjusted well down on the shoe and the training runs have gradually lengthened, I ran today without any problems about 16 KM to the shoe.
However, I also have a thing was negatively noticeable:
The heel is a bit too stiff for my feeling and so she goes a little too far above the heel approximately level with the Achilles tendon inside.
Two times I walked with very short running socks that will not reach this far and then had abrasions and while running course a slight pressure pain. A friend with the Brooks Ghost that I do not hear the same "problem" with higher closed socks.
Then one more note: I'm so good with the shoe from the Pure series cope, I had ordered my Brooks Pure Connect 2 to have variety and be able to use a different boot each training run per week (should its musculoskeletal not constantly weigh the same; this can lead to injuries, etc.). The Pure Connect 2 falls over the entire length of significantly narrower and slightly shorter, which is why I need to order a half size up here. Will I make the days before, but I find that a bit strange that shoes of a manufacturer be so different.
So be it: everywhere good running
Supplement January 27, 2015: After 500 km, the sole is quite gone through in the area of the heel, although still can be run with the shoe. For a body weight of 70-75 kg is too little in my eyes. The sole of Adidas Cushion held much longer. Therefore, I prefer later from a star and get on so 4 stars. I'm going to buy the shoe or the successor model to reflect the outstanding running behavior again, but not to the EIA, because it is too high in my opinion.
