The device was bought on the marketplace traders "media outlet" for just under 30 euros, the delivery was carried out free shipping on Amazon, as usual very quickly. The burner is now one week into operation, I have for some simple and rewritable blanks tested, among others, Sony, Verbatim, Memorex and Intenso and am highly satisfied with the results. There were no problems.

I recommend, however, as the first action, a firmware update via the website of Samsung. My unit had the firmware TS00 (also available on the device bottom), I have carried out an update to the firmware TS002. By the way: An update tool is located on the supplied software CD - very comfortable!

As a small drawback I see something short USB cable supplied with the device. I have replaced it with a compatible longer with only 1 USB connector, since 1 USB port usually ranges from totally, only if your USB port should not provide enough power, the 2.USB port for zusätzlchen power supply is needed ,

From me there is 4.5 stars - a half star deduction wg. the short cable.
But since there is no half stars, I round up to 5 stars.

Update on 10/20/2014:

Even now, after more than 2 years in operation, there are no problems with the Samsung burner, I am still very satisfied and would recommend this device without reservation!
