Scanner good software questionable

The new Canon scanner is very good! - Processing, equipment and standard accessories are very high.
The technical characteristics are described quickly: the scanner keeps what Canon promises!
A real downer I see in most parts of the supplied software.
The actual scanner driver "ScanGear" can not be called directly, you have to keep having to go through the software MP Navigator EX, and this software is quite annoying to use because it apparently believes in Canon users patronize like stupid schoolboys to have to! - Again and again you have to set all the check mark again and again and again you have to enter the desired file name from scratch, templates for naming the scanned files - nil.
The also supplied and often praised software SilverFast SE you do not need my opinion. The scan results are better than with the original software in any case, but there is pure chaos on the screen. The free-floating windows are just annoying !!! In the house LaserSoft one refuses seemingly create an ordinary user. Result: confusing and cluttered!
Photoshop Elements 8 I have not installed because I work with Photoshop CS3. Yet Canon is due for a real kudos, it does not provide any cheap software or old versions with, but the current version (also Windows 7 compatible).

Résumé: The scanner is shr well in the software there is still potential. However, since it depends on the scan result: 5 stars
