I have tried a lot of different AA batteries. Hahnel counts for me with the best batteries available - but clearly after Ansman. The main problem is a very high failure rate! In my charger with LCD display and discharge function and single cell control can be clearly seen: about 75% of Hahnel batteries are absolutely great - and bring even after many charging cycles still genuine 2700 mAh (many batteries from other manufacturers bring because only about 1000 mAh - that is, less than half). Unfortunately, there is almost 25% of waste: batteries that load after 1-2x are completely broken. This is of course especially for the people angry, who have only a simple charger, and consequently can not see exactly which battery is faulty. The battery I can therefore only recommend people with chargers with individual cell monitoring and capacity display - there have the batteries even if you throw away every 4th battery a good price-performance ratio. All others I recommend: better buy the same Ansmann. Hence 3 stars. Not included in the review is the rather high self-discharge, as this unfortunately is common for AA and AAA NiMH batteries - here I have found nothing beseres. Since helps merely: charge the batteries best shortly before use.
Also the "case" I will not be included in the classification: to designate the reclosable blister as Case is a bit brash. But the thing also costs nothing but - and frankly I find it for storage and transport in handy - especially since I have got used to the empty batteries falschrum "Case" to create - so that I can distinguish full and empty batteries immediately.
UPDATE: Yes, now I have something better in terms of the above-mentioned self-discharge found - the Sanjo eneloop - which I can then fully recommend. The Hahnel batteries decline significantly in third place my Beliebtheits scale!
