Is discussed, which Supertramp album unless now the best, it's mostly just to "Crime of the Century" and "Breakfast in America" .The was so and has hardly changed since then. The fact that in 1977 published "Even In The Quietest Moments" mostly cut off as ungrateful third ending (s), I have always been surprised. That these three albums settle deutlichst from the rest of Supertramp released, seems to me clearly audible, and I see "Even In The Quietest Moments" as loosely least at eye level. Again, wrote Davies and Hodgson all pieces, sang these himself, and the best team did a good job on the instruments. Apart from the typical instruments such as drums, keyboards, bass guitar, electric guitar are also among other things saxophone, piano, listening to piano and the influences from folk and jazz rock and pop complete the pieces beautifully. Also "Even ..." contains very simple songs ("Babaji", "Give A Little Bit"), and is, like the other albums, very catchy, mass appeal, yet it seems a bit more progressive and with the melancholy Long Track "Fool `s Overture" the most interesting piece of the band's history. The melody lines need before those of "Crime ..." and those of the more pop "Breakfast ..." not to hide. Without a "school" or a "Logical Song" on board and with a little faltering production EITQM may seem somewhat unspectacular, one hears more closely, it soon becomes clear that hid another highlight here. Alone "Fool`s Overture" and the quaint beautiful title track were already worth me buying that all other pieces entertain well and relaxed, enjoying of course all the more.
Sonically falls "Even In The Quietest Moments" against the significantly richer and better-sounding "Crime .." and "Breakfast ..." Unfortunately much ab.Flach, thinned, light ... strange. That was already in the record so and sat down at the otherwise fairly good first CD series (A & M Master + ") so on. 2002 threw Greg Calbi and Jay Messina a remastering by which no improvement compared with the first CD series brought despite still very good dynamic range, rather more sterile klang..Außerdem I'm pretty sure that I already in the 90s, a Remaster- Output had that was evil and was repelled immediately. Unlike "Breakfast ...." and "Crime ..." there is of "... even" no MFSL Gold CD, which is a pity, since it is precisely this album greatly benefited from the warmer sound of this label would have. By far the best sound continues to offer the good old vinyl record; who no longer possesses such (as newer vinyl editions sound, I do not know, but these are usually remastered, the Preßwerke worse today) and wants to fix the CD, should MMN but the old "Master +" besorgen.Eine Japan Squeeze on expensive SHM Silberling it should be even.
