Shoot'em up and up and up ....... Up

Caveat: I have not even played part 1 part 2 of the series. So I'm totally unprejudiced approach the game rating. If you want to know more about the game as part of the series, had better read another review. My review therefore is rather aimed at those who do not know the game series.

Another quick info:

The version here is the PEGI version. Should I prefer them to the USK? From the price is currently (as of 23-05-2012) YES. The price, however, is dynamic and in the future it would not really matter whether you opt for the PIGI or USK version. The only difference is that you also bystanders (Disco visitors, people in bars, office workers, people in the favelas around the same time before to name the most important locations of the game) can zap in the PEGI version. That's the only difference, and also a rather tasteless when it does so.

Now that Max Payne 3 (MP3) comes from the house Rockstar, which of course were also famous for the development of the GTA series, Red Dead Redemption (RDR) or LA Noire. I shall therefore also consider now and then a comparison with the mentioned title, although MP3 is not (!) Open-world game. This makes it possible story, presentation, music and graphics still quite good compare because they come just from the same store.

The story and its presentation: 10/10
An alcoholic, suicidal ex-cop has recently hired as a bodyguard in Sao Paolo, Brazil. Initially, relatives of his client are kidnapped and your mission is, of course, the hostages to free and the secret to clear up the abduction. I guess you can learn in this way more than part 1 and part 2 of the series. But certainly I'm not, because as I said only part 3 know. The whole thing is perfectly presented. Like a good Hollywood action flick starring Bruce Willis and Sly Stallone. In several scenes you can see how something happens, the image is divided and one sees Max's response brief in the other half. The music would you also can not choose better. The electric and rock music during firefights drives my adrenaline still a bit higher than it already is. Again, I would say that people who have played GTA or RDR, story moderately exactly get the high level offer what they know.

The Graphics: 9/10
Is rock solid and at a consistently high level. Who was satisfied with the image in Red Dead Redemption or GTA, it will also be here.

Control: 10/10

Gameplay: 8/10
Shooting, shoot, pike jump, run, shoot again. Short; ACTION! And at its best. Of course that is not varied, but it is here as I said not a open-world game in which you can do what you want. The path is in principle completely pretend (hose level). Rarely you have the choice to decide which direction you're in. I think at the site has given away potential Rockstar. Especially in the Faveles it would have been interesting and captivating when you would have had more opportunities direction.

Now shooting, Shooting etc. has been not only just so "then lubricated". Some of you may know the Dead Eye function of RDR. Is there inform of so-called "bullet-time" also. For those who do not know it: your suppressed during a firefight, the R3 Tase and the game will run until you press the button again (you did not need infinite time and the bullet-time only recharging) in slow motion. The course facilitates the goals and maintained Smite the enemy. However, this feature is really necessary because otherwise you can hardly control the masses of enemies. The Bullet-time can therefore be seen as a tactical game feature. I have not yet tested the multiplayer mode. But as long as a game has such a bombastic singleplayer story, one can also really a back seat.

- The subtitles are advised really a bit small and I think you have to read it. I as an English student can Charaktäre though largely understood, had where mumbling the people in some passages speak or slang, but my problems. A German Synchro delivers Rockstar not as usual.

All in all, I would like especially for people who do not know the series "Max Payne" and without bias Bock to properly whopping Action have in cinematic presentation, make a clear recommendation Hardly.
