Depending on what you want to do for a missing shots at telephoto 18-105mm something. It is perhaps appropriate for a beginner, but when you want something more, also in terms of image quality with, one looks for something different to offer.
I still have the 55-200mm, which I did not use, (because I was always dissatisfied with here) that also reached the image qualities of 18-140mm by far not to, there are differences like day and night.
I have not regretted the decision to buy me the 18-140mm.
It makes the D5200 so far in all shooting situations, very good and sharp images that are far from brilliant compared to the 18-105mm!
The Zoom function properly, and the manual focus, there are also no problems. Whatever the focus is very accurate and fast. It jerky nothing, and the image stabilizer also makes his job brilliantly.
The lens is very well made, above all, it has over the 18-105mm also has the advantage that it has a metal bayonet!
I have for my shots nor the 16-85 VR and 50mm fixed focal length so I am very well covered with the new lens to have come for my needs!
I see it basically also still such a camera and lens are only as good as the one who is behind the camera, and they served! It does not help old cameras with the newest of all lenses to be fitted, and then not even have to leave to make an adjustment to the extent that is possible for the two devices.
I am using the 18-140mm lens more than happy in all my previous recording Situ tions and gets me a strong buy recommendation.
