I use this hard disk with Windows XP, Windows 7 32 bit and with my Asus media player and am very happy with it. The panel is to my mind quite quickly (previously connected only to USB 2.0 so I can not judge 3.0), very quiet and is not overly warm. Previously, it was easily recognized by each of my devices. Due to the size of 3 TB can be quite a bit back up. What I find very positive is the power switch, this solution the boot today unfortunately often to suffer cuts falls I find better than the hard drives, the "automatic" (and unfortunately sometimes also again automatically downloaded without which one wants that) the power supply is very small fall and the price is right. Get a second set me as a backup yet. Oh please be sure to note the disk to NTFS formatted! I had to start the problem that I wanted to pursue a hard drive on my Philips DVD Player (USB port) and it will only recognize FAT 32 formatted media. So I had the first disk formatted in FAT 32 and some GB pulled over, but then surrendered the problem that you could only play the first 250-300 folder if there were more, they were no longer recognized. But that is not a problem this plate but a general problem since many TV / DVD player a Linux key use but FAT / FAT32 is recognized only up to a certain amount of data.
