Well, ok - away he was nu 'really do not, but by the grandiose publications of the four Tour de Force concert in London last year, are now JoBo the honor from the studio - and how !! What stands out at the latest during the second hearing is the almost obligatory structure of the CD; only seen as the way makes the brief overture to a richly obscure Jimi Hendrix piece meaning. After that's done the same in all the stops with Oh Beautiful! and that is very nice indeed: the reef would have sufficed any LedZep album for honor and the first solo of the panel has it, not incidentally, played at his beloved '59 Paula, but fired by Fender. When bubbling funky Love Is not A Love Song falling for the first time in the wind often used on the disk. Here, however, quite a presence, while they have been otherwise but sometimes blended into the background. Then with the first Living On The Moon Blue Shuffle and again put the wind along with the Hammond organ counterpoints to the guitar, which easily absorbs during the verses and then swings back to a terrific solo. A small transition switches back Heartache. As in the two pieces before falling here on that is omitted widescreen guitar sound, but only a guitar and solos rifft - great !!! Get out - there come the highlights. Never Give All Your Heart has what, at the latest when the piano begins Bad Co / Free for the powerful opening chords. A large, albeit economical Riff, a solo Hammer and that voice !!! Those like me who holds Paul Rodgers for one of the greats, should - no, must praise the singer Bonamassa here sometimes. His strong voice goes in the evaluation too often at the expense of admittedly stunning guitar work. It is followed by another shuffle, only genuine with Doowop harmony vocals and a razor-sharp Piano - radiates joy of music and makes the listener fun and also lyrically somehow mixed with a lot of humor !! The following title track is probably bonamassigste piece on the CD, but when the guitar comes and weeps and prays and sings Joe, then it does not matter that there exists a great recognition value - oh, maybe that's even a good thing. Get Back My Tomorrow is played live either not or win a crowd favorite, easily pop it could on stage a bit of hardness and be irresistible. Another instant favorite is Trouble Town, somewhere between New Orleans and Little Feat. Beautiful drums rumble beginning, Dr. John chic piano, horn and always well placed guitar and always this voice - magnificently. Except for the first piece JoBo occurs with all songs as co-author. Only the final ballad So, What Would I Do identifies him as the sole author. Quiet, garnished with strings, the song brings everything to the end and the listener to become looking forward to the next run.
Bonamassa invents neither himself nor the Blue Rock new, but it's quite amazing that he keeps his high level and his class as a guitarist and - as I said - impressively confirmed as a singer. The familiar accompaniment, especially on bass and drums by Carmine Rojas and Anton Fig and sovereign production from usual Kevin Shirley help with vigorously to safeguard the work which earned five stars. By the way, for the deluxe version worth few euros more in my opinion because of the pretty, fixed integrated booklet, with texts, commentaries on the songs, Joe's story so far, and the images supplied. And now we are waiting for the tour to CD !!!
