After much research on the net I have become aware of the Newton 200/1000 Explorer. I have found for this extraordinary telescope many positive reviews. In addition, the combination of the powerful barrel and the sturdy NEQ-5 tripod, a solid foundation for the introduction to astrophotography.
The price / quality ratio in relation to the already included accessories, the overall quality and the processing of the telescope, in my opinion, also consistent.
Delivery / delivery:
The telescope and tripod were shipped in 2 shipping units. There was a sufficient amount of packaging components used to prevent damage in transit. There are already here 2 eyepieces (25mm wide angle, 10mm super Plössel), and a (2x) Barlow lens included. Also here are 2 (!) Counterweights included here, which is by the way a very positive, as this is not a matter of course at each supplier / seller or combination sets.
The enclosed instructions are in English and also in GERMAN and sufficiently illustrated.
Just to further, unnecessary poor 3-star rating, for lack of competence, prevent;
*** To find the written instructions in GERMAN, it is imperative to scroll to the middle of the manual ***
The need to build a tool (screwdriver, hex and wrench) can be found in the corresponding components. While this tool can not replace the domestic arsenal of classic handyman, it is still high and keeps well suited when used as recommended by until the end.
Structure:
The careful and proper construction took about 45 - 60 minutes to complete - the permanent reading of the instructions is not mandatory because the kit explains the principle of self. In addition, one finds in this book more useful content, including on "adjusting the mirror," "To balance the telescope" and "maintenance of the telescope". and much more.
All required parts like screws, nuts, etc. were completely available and mutatis mutandis / logically packed.
Use / handling:
The handling is proportional to the exact balance of the telescope. If one has the position or the distance of the counterweights balanced perfectly and was not forgotten to place the center of gravity of the tube of the pipe clamps, it is a pleasure to ease align to the telescope.
"Adjustment of the mirror"
If the mirror is not set precise, the focal point is not precisely in the eyepiece. Stars look so always blurry. After each transport, as well as to larger temperature fluctuations (eg. In the winter, the heated apartment outside) is necessary may re-calibration. Notes and instructions can be found in the operating instructions and of course the Internet.
A sloppy adjusted Finderscope also represents a major annoyance. This may at any point, which is ideally located in more than 50 meters, set exactly. These settings are preferably carried out during the day.
In beautiful clear nights are obtained by the supplied 25mm wide-angle eyepiece a fascinating sight. Because the large 200mm aperture and high light gathering power related, make all the difference. One is amazed not bad when viewed with the naked eye in the night sky and a few dozen star looks - the next moment, however, looks and thousands of stars more in mind has through the eyepiece. Accordingly, it is important to preserve the orientation in the night sky and to selectively can target objects.
Upgrade kits:
The Newton 200/1000 can be even more advanced. Whether Go-To or a simple crystal-controlled 2-axis servomotor, there are still many ways the telescope in its benefits and therefore also the opportunities which have been trying to expand. However there is a limit;
namely the load limit of the tripod.
The NEQ-5 mount has a maximum load of 10 Kg. The weight of the tube and any accessories should not exceed these dimensions, otherwise are with losses in the stability of the whole structure, as well as the visual experience of the night.
Astrophotography will thus not, for example, or be very difficult.
Conclusion:
Superior After many days, search, compare and contrast, I can say the right decision to have met. Everything works as it should and as expected. Unimagined, great insight into the world above our heads, its own little time travel.
It remains only to say that this person was a worthwhile investment for me. The Orion Nebula, who consider us the closest Andromeda galaxy but also the planets of our solar system by this telescope, is a unique experience.
Expect something for your money on all the sure and this hobby can be operated seriously, I speak for this telescope a strong buy recommendation!
* Should I forgot key points to mention, I get this happy after to notice.
