"Slide It In" is more typical Whitesnake, particularly of the texts here. But overall the sound is already US moderate. The album also marked the breakthrough in the States. There are some good songs at the start, for example, `Gambler`,` Slow an` easy` and `Guilty of love`. Overall, the music is but unexciting. In particular, the texts of Coverdale nervous just yet. Handwerlich the album is very good, no wonder if such musicians as Lord, Powell and co. are at the start.
"Love Hunter", "Ready an` willing" and "Saints and Sinners" I find better to have this the stronger songs. But 4 stars are still responsible for "Slide it in".
