Such manufacturing tolerances can occur, but what must not happen is that such joints are not sealed with silicone. In my case, drew the cold air of the freezer down through the gap in the cladding off and fresh air moved to from the top panel, there is the way of the heat exchanger. Now I just had no silicone hand, so I have the joint simply sealed with U ..- Alleskleber. That worked great and the interior is now free of ice. I'll also save electricity.
