+ Compact design
+ Many ports including 2 x USB 3.0 for external drives
+ Videos in HD quality without any lag on YouTube etc.
+ (More or less) free choice of operating system and software
+ Boot / wakeup thanks to built-in SSD fast
+ Supplied remote control can also be replaced by Universal Remote Control Logitech Harmony One (however indirectly through the search for Targa Traveller 15xx)
+/- The operating noise is indeed perceptible but not annoying to me (like a modern laptop)
- The device is relatively cumbersome because only one operating system and drivers must be installed (even LAN!). I recommend the latest drivers from the zatoc pages
- (Obsolete comment, see below) the video card made zicken using the supplied driver and suddenly the colors inverted.
I then beta drivers (v12.7, stand 14.07.2012) and have so far found no problems.
- No bluetooth. had me a mini-stick connected Keyboard / Mouse
UPDATE 15/07/2012:
The new driver has not solved the problem mentioned above. It's not the Zotac box itself, but on the combination of my Philips TV and a false (default) settings of the graphics card. The correct setting can be found at: tinyurl.com/c4dkp8n (The pixel format needs to RGB 4: 4: 4 be changed)
Thus the problem is solved and I can recommend the Box for experienced users!
UPDATE 21/08/2012: (+ url so)
Use the box for several weeks and am still satisfied. Really good work the box with the Logitech Harmony One, even once you find out needs, how these programmed optimally: The best a Mircosoft MCE use remote control programming template and possibly help to learn missing keys using the supplied remote.
The box also supports Wake on LAN. So I can (Gigabit connection!) As fast central (non-cloud) use storage and backup computer (works great with MS SyncToy).
In this summer weather, the box can be a bit noisy, but that does not always notice when your viewing enjoyment (normal room volume).
