"Mosquitoes: In Japan, the mosquitoes are black but spotted with white We are surprised to find it quite nice, it changes ladybugs Otherwise, they do exactly the same job as all the mosquitoes in the world..." (P. 53)
The coolest is of course to start the book with the word "love" with this diktat which gives its name to the book. For did you know they said "there is love" and not "I love you"? What they are impersonal these Japanese! Here moreover, small point but it is unfortunate that no translations of all these formulations. Because even for those who do not understand it (including me) get wind of Japanese vocabulary in the lot, it would have provided more charm.
And as we are mainly here to talk about the book, I could give you this passage about the pocket book that is just irresistible:
"It was nice to be an unpretentious paperback, Japan still was dignity: one door jacket and bookmark, finely draped coverage and sometimes even a real bookmark woven centerfolds At check your purchase. the bookseller offers to cover your book, to avoid soiling the in transport or damage in contact with various objects in your bag. " (P. 71)
If only in France we took the seed!
In conclusion, although this little "guide" is fine, it is nonetheless useful to understand Japanese culture, to get an appetizer habits and life trains. This gave me a taste closer to civilization because, in their differences, they seem strangely fascinating!
