The various output connectivity options (on tv) are a real asset: HDMI, SPDIF, VGA, etc.
Reads the media via a USB connected device or a micro SD memory card (integrated memory card reader on the side) handy.
I have not tested many video format, but supports lesmpeg, avi and most of image extensions.
The mains supply is not usb: We must plan a free electrical outlet.
The instructions are in English only. However, it is possible to put the French interface in the language selection menu.
The settings menu is fairly simple and basic (choice of language of the interface, output resolution on TV, choice of audio / video output, etc.)
Easy to use with the remote.
However, access to video files is somewhat tedious. Indeed, you will go through several stages of selection of media, directories, files. For example, to play a video on my external hard drive, I had to make 4 times on "Ok" because each "Ok" a new choice screen appears:
Choosing the media type ("video" in this case)> Media Type via USB or memory card> Directory of video / picture> Select file to read
Handling only via the remote control (that is light, thin and compact)
Only downside in my opinion: No control button on the enclosure. So if the remote control is down ...
