Because it does not cost much, and the reviews were good, I bought myself the ionizer. Odors in the refrigerator are just always a problem when onion, cheese, fish like - despite sealable plastic container.

I can only say: It works. Whenever I open the refrigerator door, I notice the neutral smell. No matter what is stored in it. Whether to keep the food really even longer, I could not even notice. Will report on the occasion. Well I found the included battery equipment of 4x800mAh AA batteries. Drawback: The unusual charge current (80 mA) of the batteries and the control light that is a bit too unobtrusive, you really have to look carefully if the battery goes.

Addendum: Really strong-smelling cheese remains smelt. For us it was Raclette cheese.
