However, I realized - SNAPSHOTS acts unfortunately as a hasty rush job with no real moments. On the contrary, the album acts carelessly arranged and rather apathetic heruntergesungen, so exactly what you would not expect from KIM WILDE actually. Whether The Cure, Alphaville, Black or Mike Oldfield, there were quite selected songs that would make in a KIM WILDE version sense, but unfortunately the end result sounds utterly boring and uninspired.
There is also a really sterile production which takes the material the final strength and soul ... I can understand that you have to help a lot in the studio, in order to help more poor singers to some clout, but that KIM WILDE can definitely sing must they prove to anyone. Here one has definitely done her any favors when they produced this album such a hit a brick wall.
All in all ... I'm sorry to write it, but in fairness I can only describe as SNAPSHOTS shot in the oven. The album could have been a real exciting and beautiful affair, but the end result is a complete disappointment.
That would KIM WILDE definitely better skillfully!
