A 28-year German musician who plays violin. Faster, more modern, better and more interesting than anyone ever before. Such a panel as "Encore" or its predecessor "Virtuoso" makes just plain fun and also brings the young audience the instrument violin and especially the Classical closer. Just like with me. I liked classical music has always been, but really intense I have "only" heard Beethoven. In addition, a little Bach, Mozart etc times by between. Actually, I stand more on music by ACDC, Queen, or even Michael Jackson. And what I find here on this board? Right ... Songs of my favorite performers, played on a violin. Yet modern and not boring. Songs that I know already years, such as "Thunderstruck" by ACDC appear here in a completely new and exciting light. Just as Queen's "Who Wants To Live Forever" that played by David Garrett is infinitely beautiful, sad and wonderful. Almost better than the original ... incredible. Michael Jackson's "Smooth Criminal" is Performed as fresh and rock, that one can hardly believe it. Just great what Garrett has turned these modern songs. But even classics like "Claire De Lune" sound beautiful here. Classic but somehow modern. A highlight is definitely "Brahms Hungarian Dance No 5 '. Great and typical Garrett can say. Also "He's A Pirate", the Pirates of the Caribbean theme is interpreted wonderful. Although the original was so taken with orchestra, Garrett can give the number here something that the original lacked. "Chelsea Girl", written by Garrett rocks. One can not say otherwise. Fetzt The song and goes on without end. So Garrett can not enact "just" old songs and reinterpret modern ... he can write himself great numbers on fiddle and convey how it could do no better. Similarly, the title "New Day", "Winter Lullaby" and "Rock Prelude" are written by Garrett. Particularly "Rock Prelude" is a special number again. Unique and typical Garrett, fits the album like chalk and cheese. On the whole, is "Encore" what was needed really new, which also condemned. If someone like Garrett young people can inspire for Classical Music, which is something very special and very much value. And not only in the studio, he's great, he also live is an experience. I was allowed to experience live him in Saarbrücken and have to say that it was one of the best concerts on which I've ever been. Just a great musician !!!
