Successful selection: the whole range of classical music

This collection of six CDs and a booklet (which is identical in parts, but not complete with the relevant chapter from the book "Classical for Dummies") contains an overview of the classical music from Gregorian chant to the end of the 20th century. As an introduction that is ideal.

Most of the "what you have heard that before somewhere, without being able to assign it really" is, at least in excerpts: Marc-Antoine Charpentier (the Euro Vision anthem, in fact ...), on Vivaldi's inevitable Vier Jahreszeiten ( trigger with me very unpleasant memories of the school music lessons, sorry), Handel's Fireworks Music, Mozart's Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, sentence 1, Mendelssohn's Wedding March, Chopin's Minute Waltz, Moldau, Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries, Verdi Nabucco Gefangenenchor, not forgetting Stravinsky's Rite of Spring, Ravel Bolero and Offenbach's Can-Can (have created with the ARD and ZDF in the 80s their theme song for children's holiday program ...) But it is not limited.

The selection can be the entire centuries of European (and American) Classic course only touch, but strives especially in national schools and the music of the 20th century to represent as wide a range. Then one has in any case only about enough to hand in order to know what a suit you about and then to be able to search independently. It does not have to be calculated Vivaldi ...
