Just epic !!

Yes, big words - but I doubt it after the 4th Hördurchlauf this album (continuous loop, yay), that it will grab any album this year still, to beat this masterpiece.

For those who do not know the band: INLEGEND is a five-piece band from Berlin led by singer and pianist Bastian Emig (also known as the drummer of the a cappella Heavy metal band VAN CANTO) that the piano skirt (now located ) has dedicated two pianos, bass and drums. The typical guitar rock bands are not found here - live but sometimes resorted to a Keytar. The band exists since 2010 and has previously released an album and an EP.

I must say personally - I even liked already the previous album and have already seen a few times live band ... "Stones At Goliath" but simply tops everything. Here, the band has once again all the strengths that they did not bother on the first album tripled. I mean: Do you know a band on an album that combines next two pianos, bass and drums simply times 3 different choirs (children's choir, gospel choir and shout-chorus), plus real strings (including Benni Cellini of Latter instance recorded ), synth sounds and a guest singer from Chile?

Just as great as that already sounds, it is then also become. The album is epic, bombastic, virtuosity, profound, complex, atmospheric, both catchy and progressive, both fast and quiet, both light and dark, is produced first class and again a lot better (and especially amazing to detail) composed and been arranged. If you consider that frontman and pianist Bastian Emig can even read any notes, that's just an incredible achievement. Each song kidnapped in a different emotional world and is fascinating on its own way and rousing. The lyrics are also very deep, have often a socio-critical and political background and rain definitely food for thought or to act on.

If you like bands like Muse, stands on piano music and / or just fancy something new has (which by the way also can not be packed in any genre corsets; rock or alternative as an umbrella term fits definitely, but there are also influences from Heavy Metal , Pop, Classical, Electronic, Film Music, Gothic and even jazz on the album!), which should definitely check it out!

Here are some Anspieltipps:

** Songs like "Lonely" or "To New Horizons" are just absolutely brilliant radio hits and catchy tunes!

** If you like beautiful choirs should definitely "Alienation", "Empire Of Concrete" and "On The Morrow" hear.

** If you like it a bit harder, is lifted in "Threatened", "Choices In Coma" very good (with extremely good guest singer) and "Envoys of Peace".

** Those who find electronic gadgets and political texts well, will find it in "King Of Apathy".

** "A 1000 Paper Cranes", "Empty Place" and "Lonely" are very nice (semi-) ballad.

** If you like Gothic and also something sinister atmosphere, which is "The Voodoo Girl" (based on a poem by none other than Tim Burton) definitely fallen.

** For fans of crazy song structures and unusual arrangements: "Monuments For Eternity", "On The Morrow", "Envoys of Peace".

** Those who prefer jazz and loungy-chill, which is like "Another Me".

** Who loves incredibly atmospheric songs, should urgently "Empire Of Concrete", "A 1000 Paper Cranes" and "Choices In Coma" hear.

If I could, I would definitely give another 2-3 star more here !!!

Absolute Best Buy! You will not regret it! :) I am very excited to see how this band is evolving constantly and reinventing. I can also recommend all to look at YouTube times after the current music videos, because they are also top notch and very fit for superior levels of the album!
