For me personally, no later than arises with this album the absolute unique position by Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark in the pop world. This timelessness of music now produced by OMD since 3 decades is fascinating, and who has seen the band ever live, and recognizes the fun and the joy that the musicians to present their music.
Of course one could argue heretical that OMD had not evolved since the '80s. But I would, however, express the way that OMD have been found in the 80s its absolutely timeless sound and this now cherish, maintain and vary skillfully .... and magic in me so that when listening to an extremely good feeling. The ability to produce such a quantity of Ohrwürmen about now about 30 years in my opinion, absolutely unique.
Three cheers for OMD .... the kings of the perfect pop music are back with an album that will probably turn very very long in my CD player !!!
PS: This limited edition comes as a pretty black tin can and therefore is for a fan a pretty thing. You need not necessarily, but looks good in the display case. Whether any of the extra cost compared to the regular version appears to be justified is a matter of taste, the demo CD offers me personally, however, with 9 songs already a good reason to want to have this limited edition .... and the enclosed vinyl single ensures that my good old record player also must move again ^^
