Software: Poor Windows 7

Anticipation under XP it works fantastically.

Under 7 but the Epson software is a horror.
They either denied the same installation or EPSON Scan and Event Manager rush every time you start the meaningless error message "no longer works" from. To start in compatibility mode as an administrator or helped any more than multiple complete reinstall.

With drivers from Windows Update, the scanner does work, however, is sorely limited. The resolution is fixed at 300dpi, color, grayscale or brightness settings are missing completely.

Without the software, the device defects 4 vll even 5 star would be worth.

Update:
After a day browsing forums I'm on the cause of the crash encountered permanent when you start Epson Scan.
The Registry settings of my user were completely different from the user where to start Epson Scan allowed.
After I had HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ EPSON \ EPSON Scan deleted and copied from a functioning user and adapted 3. HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ EPSON \ EPSON Scan \ ES00D7 \ Configuration \ workpath ran it at once.

The error during installation I could fix nciht. My tip to: Create a new user to install only.

If I had not even developers I could get this device probably is not installed.
Epson would do well to write an installer of clean prepares the installation and also all completely removed.
