Solid album as usual!

Even with her 7th album, "The Seventh Life Path", the Norwegians of "Sirenia" their style remain faithful and play a mixture of Gothic - and symphonic metal. The songs are characterized by their melancholic atmosphere, Lyrically "Sirenia" deal preferably with rather dark themes such as death or human suffering. Vocally is the characteristic vocal style of the Spanish woman "Aylin" clearly in the foreground, which is always supported by the Growlpassagen of "Morton Veland" and also upgraded. Ever the voice of the Spaniard is determined again provide material for discussion, is this still limited and therefore also meets occasionally to their limits. Personally, I find the now not so tragic, I like their tone and therefore see about these inadequacies away. Musically, "Morton Veland" again on tried and tested, "The Seventh Life Path" is peppered with great melodies, powerful orchestral passages and wide sweeping choruses. All this is packaged which are seasoned with a good dose of somber mood in punchy and compact compositions. So far everything is in the green area, there is not really new to report, where "Sirenia" it says is also "Sirenia" it - Basta! "Morton Veland" treading unimpressed the way he has taken with "Perils of the Deep Blue" - for my taste there was no reason to leave this!
The songs are all at a very high level, but I would "Serpent", "Elixir", "Sons of the North", and want to name "The Silver Eye" as Anspieltipps. Even the ballad track "Tragedienne" is for me one of the highlights of this album.

My conclusion: If you liked the last albums of "Sirenia", will definitely have fun also to "The Seventh Life Path". The level of recent publications could be maintained, a development I now could not necessarily represent, however, "Sirenia" move for years on a fairly high level.
For lovers of symphonic gothic metal album this an attempt is quite worth.
