I "extend" the IR signal for the following devices:
- Apple TV
- Logitech IR to Bluetooth converter Playstation3 (to control the PS3 with an infrared universal remote control)
- Humax HD cable box PR 2000C
- Sony AV receiver
- Infrared to Funkumwandler for controlling radio outlets (light)
When I use the remote control Logitech Harmony One.
Who has counted degree, noted that I use more than 3 units. It is scheibar of the opinion that 3 extension IR eyes mean that only 3 units can be controlled. From this logic starting, probably a universal remote can also control so only one device. So do not worry, right
The 3-IR eye, properly placed, of course, can control more than 3 units.
My tip: If the IR-eyes are mounted in a cabinet, attach best to the cabinet door inside, thereby the dispersion of the IR signal is particularly high and fail. One more thing - the best with its own double-sided sticking tape fix, since the adhesive film does not hold on the eyes particularly long.
CONCLUSION: So if an IR extension for the purpose of hiding the AV devices studied - BUY!
