I have a compact but solid padlock to secure my bike in conjunction with the "ABUS loop cables Cobra" wanted. Processing looks solid, positive the low weight and the cover of the lock cylinder with a plastic cap is to prevent environmental influences. I've gotten so far had this castle a year with wind and weather in the use and have no problems. I can with rust or stiffness on striker recommend the rust easily scrape and give something graphite powder for ease of movement at critical points. After that the castle is absolutely unjam. I would not interpret as a weakness of the castle because it is still more robust than others require padlocks and all mechanical equipment in wind and weather an occasional maintenance / care.
Conclusion: I would recommend the castle all fully it will need for your bike, garden shed, at jetties, for scooters, motorcycles or the like as additional protection.
For security against professional thieves I can say little. I would suspect that it is not a savvy criminals before to great challenges. Then a padlock is however never enough. This here is certainly one of the better which is likely to prevent 99% of casual thieves.
I have now purchased a second lock for my cellar door on Amazon.
