Rating is not the remastered release, but the original first appearance. This debut work by Yello I put me in the late '90s, after I have the then-current albums absorbed formally. And on "Solid Pleasure" you could tell: "Here something big arises" what is yes then also occurred in an impressive way and continues today. The typical Yello sound has already been clearly defined on this album, the mix of different musical styles and was already present here. The danger can put Yello in a drawer, you already went on this first work skillfully out of the way. Rather Yello created his own drawer here. At that time, the three of the men Meier / Blank / Peron brought their creative, uncompromising and sometimes quite humorous and sarcastic ideas on this record - ideas that do not really just bursting with commerce. The album was released as well under the Moto on the humanity: "We just do our thing. Devour it, or let it be!". "Bostich" goodness was this sound but then on everyone's lips and brought a lot of artists in a very different sound technical ideas and Yello was thus actually taken seriously from the start. I hear the album even now in 2008 or very happy, mostly then even repeatedly. I have no favorite track (possibly Blue green ....), all class-pieces, also "Bostich" is subordinated like. Conclusion: "Solid Pleasure" was the birth of Yello universe - and that started with 5 stars!
